Hi! I’m Pilar (pilarsayu – Pilar Sánchez Yun), a digital artist, photographer and designer from Córdoba, Spain, now based and living my best life in Copenhagen.
I create prints, stickers, zines, and photobooks - basically anything that lets me explore ideas, feelings, and the weird little sparks that come out of everyday life. My work is intuitive, playful, and always evolving. Sometimes it’s light and fun, sometimes it’s more personal, but it always comes from a real place inside me.
I’ve been drawing for as long as I can remember, but for a long time, it was something I kept hidden. I was told that being an artist wasn’t a “real” path — that it wouldn’t go anywhere. So I buried it. But art never left me. It kept showing up in everything I did, and eventually, I realized: I’ve always been an artist. I just needed to let myself own it.
Now I make what feels right, often without knowing exactly why, and that’s what I love about it. Each piece finds its own meaning, depending on who’s looking at it. That mystery, that connection, is what keeps me going.
